I'm using MSP 7 to edit video and then generate AVIs (usually DV-AVI), but now, I'm trying to set a different codec / compressor and the program hang or crash when I try to select the AVI screen.
Same thing if try to generate (options) or to set the default project setting.
With MPEG no problem.
Any help please !!!!
THANKS!!!

I hope you didn't install one of the many "codec" packs that Microsoft has warned against installing.
These can really mess up a system running Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0.
According to Microsoft:
"Nimo and Tsunami codec packs are untested compilations of various codecs and filters commonly used on the Internet."
"Incompatibilities are known to exist with some of the components in the packs."
"The incompatibilities can cause serious playback issues in Windows Media Player and other multimedia programs, lead to system corruption, and make it difficult for Microsoft Support to diagnose and troubleshoot playback issues."

Thank you ! The problem was the Nimo pack.
I've removed it and everything is normal... with MSP but the player (xVid,AC3,subs,etc.).
