  1. Hi all.

Until last week I was able to use SmartRipper 4.21 to access any of my DVDs without problems. Then my PC got hung on reading from a faulty CDROM in the DVD drive and ever since SmartRipper will not work any more. I always get the message that the files are locked. DVD Software Player accesses the DVDs without problems.

What I already tried after reading the FAQ and Forum news:
    - Tried several DVDs to assure it is not one special
    - Ran WinDVD simultaneously to unlock files
    - Reinstalled the SmartRipper
    - installed latest ASPI for XP from Adaptec
    - tried DvDDecrypt to rip
    - removed DVD drive from system and let Windows XP recognize again
    - cold booted with and without DVD in drive
None of the above helped. Now I am afraid of facing a hardware problem as the drive may be not correctly adjusted anymore or similar. Anybody any idea? I am starting to get highly frustrated.

    Many thanks
    Mick
