    Hi,

I read that some players require this file to be ID'd as ENTRYVCD, and others need it to be called ENTRYSVD instead.

Does this change the filename in the SVCD folder?

In other words, are the following statements true:

    A) option ENTRYVCD creates a file called SVCD/ENTRIES.VCD
    B) option ENTRYSVD creates a file called SVCD/ENTRIES.SVD

If this is the case, does anyone know if (and how) it's possible to have both of these files in the SVCD folder, for compatability purposes, so that the disc would work in either type of SVCD-capable DVD player. The one would just be a copy of the other, named differently, so that the player could find the file that *it* recognises.

The file's only 2Kb, so it's not a big overhead sizewise.

    Thanks for any info...

  3. I don't think that it is possible with any tool that exists. I'm not sure if the different filename actually contain different data. If they otherwise contain the SAME data, it should be possible (remember, the player usually directly accesses particular sector addresses rather than reads the ISO filesystem). You could have two differently named "files" in the filesystem pointing to the same data.

If the actually data contained is slightly different, then it may not be possible, as then, the "different" data has to live in the same physical sector address.

In any case, as I stated before, I don't think that any tool that exists allow you to do this. I suppose anyone who is particularly interested can dig out the VCDImager source code and try to work it out...

    Regards.
