can anyone please tell me if there is a tool or some way for me to keep a copy of a streamed .mov file?

it's a movie trailer that i want to keep a copy of, and it's too big to download more than once as im only on a dial up.

    thanks.

  2. It might already be on your drive. Try looking through your temporary internet files folder and digging it out of there.

i did that. there was a file with the right name , but it was only 1.4k and quicktime would not play that.

the clip was aboput 20 megs in size. there was a 20 meg file (with a seemingly random name and a tmp extention) in the temp internet folder , but i could not copy it, and as soon as i closed quicktime, the file wes not there anymore.

Skip this . Go to your quicktime settings in Control Panel and check the box that says "Save Movies in Disk Cache". Copy to your desktop from there.
