  1. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm recording with a JVC S-VHS VCR as my source using the usual RCA composite audio connections and S-Video for my video connection from VCR to the Panasonic DVD Recorder. After listening to the recording, there is a very noticible audio buzz constant throughout the recorded DVD. I checked my audio connections and even swapped audio cables with new cables. Same result. When I view the source VHS tape, I hear no audio buzz at all. I don't think it's due to a loose connection. All suggestions welcome.

Try disconnecting you cable TV connection. Also make sure that the VCR and DVD are plugged into the same outlet for AC power. Try unplugging any other devices near those units. Also make sure that any lights that you have on a dimmer are either off are at full intensity. Sometimes the dimmers through a bunch of garbage back onto the power lines.

Most likely the cableTV connection though, so start there. If that is the problem, you can do a search in the capture forum for "ground loop" and you sould find a method to correct this problem. To help narrow it down, it was a post by me that you are looking for. But it was some time ago too.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

Press "Display" button on the remote, select "SOUND" and turn the "Dialog Enchancer & V.S.S" options OFF!

BTW, this does not affect recording.
