  1. Hi,

Why is it that I can burn 10 divx-avi files separately as data (each one about 50mb @nd with a movie length of 25mins ea.) with Nero on a 700mb cdr but I'm unable to burn them successfully if I join them up together (using EOVideo)???

I understand that while the total file size is still within the 700mb limit the total movie length of the joined avi file goes beyond the max time limit of 80mins... how do I work-around this problem if I still want the avi files joined together???

Why you ask would I want the avi files joined together into one file? Well, because I want it to be auto-played as soon as the cd is inserted (saves time having to relaunch a player)...as I've also outlined in this thread

Tools I use: VirtualDub, TMPGEnc, EOVideo and Nero

    AviSynth:
    AviSource("C:Four_of_Five1.avi")+AviSource("C:Four _of_Five2.avi")+AviSource("C:Four_of_Five3.avi")+. ...

Save it with Virtual Dub. Get the picture?

  3. Hey thanks for your reply! (I just got back to this forum)

Hmmm..Avisynth? You mean, like "Append AVI segment"? Well I did try that a couple of times...the problem is that sometimes I get an AVI file that won't synth ...i think bec. it was "created" differently...so it aint that reliable...anyhoo...

Will this "solve" the problem of eventually ending up with a huge AVI file??...but still burnable as an AVIfile to a CDR?? (even though the total running time for it would exceed the 80min time length??

  5. Yes, normally....but I'd prefer to burn them as just one AVI-divx file instead coz you'd only need one CDR/W...(of course, the downside is that you can only play/view them on the PC)

If you burn them into an S/VCD...even if it's a divx format avi..you'd end up with several CDR/Ws...
