  1. Can i ask you how you copy yourr dvds.
Ive been trying to copy some dvdsand having loads of problems

First i tried copying on the fly with nero from two drives dvdrom to dvdr and it kept failing. So then used dvdcopy in nero and was getting read errors from the dvdrom as it keeps making scratching noises lol

so i decided to coy the video ts files from the dvd disc in the dvdr drive and when i write my discs i find that sometimes there are scratches on the discs and get read errors when i test it in my standalone dvd . Some areas will play but when i skip to different chapters to make sure everything is ok or go to different times on the dvd, some stages will not be read.

Whats the best way of copying them?
Oh i burn them under video utf if this is any help

  2. In my opinion:

The best way to copy a dirty dvdr, even an un protected one is to:
    - Copy to ISO using dvddecryptor. (I will try multiple times to read problem spots)
    - Mount the ISO using Virtual Daemon Tools
    - Burn with what ever doing a disc to disc copy

You can also burn with dvddecryptor. I had a problem configuring my burner and gave up since I new the above works with my preferred burning sw.
