  1. I understand that it is possible to rip a PAL DVD and get the video file from it, however, what if I had a DVD image in PAL, is there any way to directly convert PAL to NTSC, any format, ISO, BIN, GI anything? No idea if this is possible.

you'd either have to burn the image to a disc and then rip as per usual, or mount the image as a virtual drive. a quick google search will tell you how to do that.

  3. Ok, I know how to mount. Is there a tool I can use to rip the PAL to NTSC?

    It is not that easy.

You have to re-encode it into NTSC using a MPEG-2 DVD compliant encoder such as TMPGEnc or CCE or MainConcepts etc.

Check out these two links for more info:

    P.S.
The best way to start is to RIP the PAL movie with DVD Decrypter in FILE MODE default selects just the movie (not the extras). Then run that through DVD2AVI to get your AC-3 audio file(s) and your D2V file.

You could keep the extras but each one would have to be encoded as seperate clips and then you could make your own new menu to select the movie or the extra feature clip you want.
