  1. My TMPEGENC will not read mpeg layer 3 audio within my source avi file, and if i demux the audio then encode the audio sync is way off. Is there any way Tmpeg enc can read mpeg layer 3 audio files with some sort of plugin installed? Thanks.

don't have that problem with tmpgenc. what version are you running? also, open your source file in gspot and post the audio and video info so we can help.
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.

Have you tried saving to wave with VDub and the using the wave file as your audio input ? VBR can cause that problem.

Well, I know what you want, but I've never had much luck with VBR MP3 files and Tmpgenc without changing to .wav first. There is no "MP3 plug-in" for Tmpgenc, so you may have to read around to see if someone has a better idea. Have you tried the Tmpgenc forums @ the website ?

  7. I also used to have nothing but problems with any VBR audio in TMPGEnc. But the latest version solved pretty much every audio problem I had. Try the latest version first. I am now able to use DivX and Xvid source files with VBR mp3 files with no problems, the DVD compliant output mpeg has perfectly sync'd audio.
