Is there another way to convert MP2 files to Ac3 besides BeSweet ? When I try to use BeSweet, I get an error in the logfile "Unable to get ac3enc.dll interface". Any other programs that do basicly the same or can help with this error will be appreciated.

    Tx,

    Tom

  3. for ac3 transcoding with BeSweet, you also need the ac3 plugin.. which has that ac3enc.dll driver you need.

Problem I've had, is the transcoded ac3 file has no sound.!!... tried different configs... tried diff. media players.. no sound..!! I'm gonna try another transcoder... besweet don't work 4-me.

  4. I just checked... from the description... the AC3machine program won't transcode ac3 from mp2 audio; as asked... it will do ac3 from WAV files, & extract ac3 audio... but no mention of transcoding from mp2..?? Still hoping on figuring out besweet.

AC3 Machine is a GUI or front end for BeSweet. AC3 Machine will transcode mp2 to ac3 with BeSweet. Just click over the file name in the Locations input space and at the requester look for mp2 in the drop down box and the pick your file. Then, for the output doubleclick over the file name space and at the requester fill your file name with the .ac3 extension. Remember to tell AC3 Machine the path of BeSweet by clicking on Location/Besweet.exe space.
    Good Luck!

  6. The ac3 machine [v0.41] is the GUI I was using w/besweet [v1.5b20]... the program processes the mp2 file, & the transcoded ac3 file will 'play' on various media players... but there is ZERO volume.!! ...NO sound.!! In the selection for "external plugin"... should there be a driver selected here.??

  7. Hey Robiss

    Thanks for that.
Was not able to convert Wave to ac3 using BeSweet . It really had me duped as 100% followed DVDhelp instructions as below

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/129419.php

Maybe I'm blind but no where did I see instructions about the ac3 plugin being needed! Now it works a-okay.
Infact was just going to post same question as jtommyj, so thanks mate for asking it.

  8. duhhh... yeh, be sure you have the ac3 filter installed, if you expect the transcoded file to play sound..!! I was told Windows media player would play the ac3 audio.... NOT..!! [with the filter installed it does]

Well, I give up. I tried installing the filter in th esame directory and still get hte same error. So I downloaded Sonic Scenarist and used its AC3 encoding function.

You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning.

No warez, as far as I am aware Sonic Scenarist is not available for download legitimately.

    Hi friends,

I am willing to transcode STEREO WAVE to DD 5.1 AC3, how can I make it please ?

    I tried Besweet, but it only converts to DD 2.0;

Also, if there`s a way to convert STEREO WAVE to 6 WAVE 5.1 files it would work, as I can use Sonic Foundry DD 5.1 encoder,

Besweet GUI has an option of 'six wave' output, but when the input is a stereo file, I get short waves (19 seconds each, while original is 1 minute) totally out of speed,

Any help will be very apreciated.

    Thanks,

    Andre
