  1. I have DVD-5 and DVD-9 burning down pretty well now, but now I have a Divx file I want to convert to MPEG-2. I read that with Divx it is better to separate the audio from the video for sync reasons.

I used VirtualDub to extract a wav file from the AVI, but how can I demux just the AVI with no audio?

  2. Go to audio and select no audio in v dub. Then go to video and select direct stream copy. Lastly, go to file and select save as avi. Give your avi a name and save it. This will give you an exact copy of your avi video without the audio.

Are you using an external audio encoder like Toolame? If so, then a temporary wav file is created first.
