    Can this be done?

I have training video with some extra audio tracks. Can I create links(in the menu), pointed to the audio so a person can use their dvd player to watch the video and then listen to the audio (watch - blank screen, hear audio track). Even if they would be converted to VCD via TMpgEnc and reencoded for audio track.....but even then, how do I keep them as small as possible.

Would definitly help not having to change discs all the time. - Watch a movie - listen to audio - watch a movie - listen to audio.

    Thanks in advance

all you could do is encode the audio tracks with a black screen at a very low video bitrate (like 100kbps) and then it would be just like selecting a video section, but all the person using the disc would get is a blank screen with audio.

    Thanks for the advice.

I have tried this methodology and it worked great.....next trick question.

The audio files I have been supplied with are 11kps-mono-16 bit-176 bitrate. Converting them for DVD does about 8 fold on size. Is there anything a guy can do to decrease the size of the mpg?

What I am trying to do is squeeze the audio files on the first disc with Part 1 of the videos. The mpg's are 2.53GB for audio (blank screen) and if there is a way to decrease them 25%, my headache.....atm....would be over.

    Thanks again

My current dvd size with all audio files included is 5.23gb. Do you think that DVD Shrink may be able to shave a little off everything to achieve a single dvd I am looking for?

I am waiting for computer to finish authoring so I can test this theory.

I will let you know how it turns out.

Looks like it's willing to compress 89%

So now I got my answer.

    Thanks everyone

Maybe I will ask one more question.

What exactly am I losing when DVD Shrink does it's work?
