  1. I converted a DivX (high quality) to m2v format with TMPGEnc .
    Now the problem I have is that when the movie changes scenes, the screen slightly turns purple.

    Also, sometimes I don't see any colors, only black and white. Although the only settings I changed were :

    MPEG Layer-2
    Pal
    720*576
    4:3
    25 FPS
    Full screen (keep aspect ratio)

  2. Which encoding settings did you use? Are you using VBR or CBR, or are you using the PAL DVD template with just the modifications you mentioned?

    Damn that purple haze! Excuse me, while I kiss the sky...

  3. I used Constant Bitrate (CBR) but I didn't use the template

  4. Could be a bad decoding filter. I've had the same problems with some XviD stuff i encoded and played back using ffdshow (purple blobs on movement, no b/w though). I went into the ffdshow settings and checked "Use XviD" for XviD files, and everything worked fine from there on..
