Hi,
I have some TV shows that I recorded on DVD that I want to convert to VCD. BUT I have a problem.
Basically the route I use is: SmartRipper to DVD2AVI (creates a D2V and a WAV). Use the TMPGenc Plus wizard to create a VCD.
Simple stuff and worked perfectly until I upgraded to TMPGenc Plus Ver. 2.520 (2.520.54.163).
Now the VCD files are too big - twice the size they used to be!!!!
Can anyone help? Is there a setting I've missed??
Thanks folks.

Sounds like the bitrate setting is not set at the standard 1150. double check that and see if it has changed. If you're using the wizard, it should be locked at 1150, but if not, it could be different.

The bitrate is fixed to 1150. However, I just noticed that the Movie Info section describes the file as "90 min 09 sec" - double what I thought it is.
Just did a check and would you believe it, I ripped too many chapters. I was trying to convert 2 episodes.
User Error - doh!
Thanks for the suggestion andkiich - as always the helpfulness of the people here is awesome.
