I have avi file which encoded with xvid, i have all the codecs and it's working perfectly, but when i want to convert it with tmpgenc it says something about pointer exception error, does anybody knows how can i fix it?

This is commonly caused by the avi containing bad frames. There are several guides on methods for removing them.

Had same problem now fixed after reading this --> https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/119019.php
But I still ran into a few problems but fixed them after whacking up the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader to 5!
Scan video file with vdub-mp3-freze for video errors.
