  1. Okay so I have spent that last three days reading through this entire forum and on Doom9 looking for a complete step by step guide on converting Divx with AC3 sound to DVD and preserving the AC3 and nowhere have I found a step by step working guide. I've seen general suggestions and several people with the same problem but I think a step by step detailed guide on the process is in order. Who will step up to the challenge and liberate all us out there that have these great Divx Dolby Digital AVI files with itches up our butts to transfer them to DVD while preserving their 5.1 AC3 goodness?

  2. I'll give a quick answer. Try dvd2svcd from www.dvd2svcd.org

    I believe that it will keep your AC3 audio when you do a conversion.

    Not really a guide available. after you download the free app, put in TMPGENC/CCE/procorder location, open one of the templates for VCD,SVCD,DVD (you'll have to modify a little to get CVD) and then go to the audio tab and make the necessary changes and hit go!

  3. Thanks but that didn't give me what I needed. I'm talkin the full deal here. How do we avoid the sync problems with ac3 and divx conversion. How do we fix the sound being so quiet that you have to crank the volume all the way up to even hear it. Step by step...

    Divx w/ ac3 -> DVD

    not interested in SVCD just DVD

    Thanks anyway though
