  1. Hi, I'm new to the DVD author and have a problem, could someone help?

I'm using WinTV-PVR to capture VHS to PAL MPEG2 files. Then use DMF2 to author two clip onto a DVD. The preview under DMF2 was OK, but when burn to folder and view by WinDVD, problem happen:

    1. the first clip consider of 10mins video only, the original MPEG2 file is for 45 mins.
    2. the second clip will just play for a few second then end.

Anyone can give me some hints?

Thanks a lot for your help.

  2. When using Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2, it is important to precisely match your *project settings* to match the attributes of your captured video.

For example, the high quality MPEG-2 recorded by my DVD disc camcorder has the following attributes:

    NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
    MPEG files
    24 Bits, 704 x 480, 29.97 fps
    Field Order B
    (DVD-NTSC), 4 : 3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8800 kbps)
    Audio data rate: 256 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

Consequently, I adjust my Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 project settings to be identical to these attributes.

To determine the attributes of my clips, I import them into Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2 and I right mouse click on them.

Then I click MEDIA CLIP PROPERTIES.

A pop-up then appears with a list of file attributes.

What are the video/audio attributes of your clips?

  3. Hi Jerry, thanks a lot for your help. I have figured out what's wrong.

With the capture card there is a software for MPEG cut and merge called nanoMPEG Editor. It looks it can do the cut and merge, but insert some extra piece into the resulting file, and led to the problem.

The problem no longer happen after I use other cut and merge tools.

    Thanks a lot.
