Hi there.I am trying to go step by step that FOOLPROOF guide.
ANd after extracting wav file, its says that we need to strip out the video.SO after save avi with no sound it didnt says what to do with this avi.
WHen i reload that no audio avi file again into virtual dub and try to resize so the CCE won't load *.vdr file......
WHen i don't load that stripped avi but stay with the original file with sound so the CCE loads the *.vdr file......am i misisng something?
Thank you !

Please try to explain what you are trying to accomplish, what guide you're following etc.

Iam trying to accomplish converting from XviD 640x256 avi movie to SVCD.
I am following the FOOLPROOF guide using CCE and AVI2MPG.
The problem is,that in guide says that i need to rip off the video, save avi file with no sound using VDub.
But then, till the end of the guide that stripped video didnt mentioned again.
When i used FrameServ from the non-audio avi file ,so CCE won't load that *.vdr file....its hangs then crash.
But when i do FrameServ from the Original avi file, means with audio,so CCE accept that *.VDR and everything goes smooth.....
I hope i explaned my self better this time ! -
OK, Now I understand better. Even if I seriously doubt there will ever be a really foolproof guide for AVI to SVCD conversion - each and every AVI has its own irks and quirks, no matter if they may look exactly the same "on the surface".
Well, I'd try some other encoder, like TMPGEnc to start with.
You could also open you no-audio AVI in VDUb, then select WAV audio (and your extracted wav) and frame serve A+V to CCE.
If you open the stripped AVI directly with CCE - does that work?
It would also help if you provided a link to the guide you're following.
