Is there a way in Virtual Dub where I can edit my videos (cut out commercials etc.) and then save that file automatically?
As far as I can see I can only Save as a new file and because I am pressed for HD space this is very annoying?
Is there a way around it?
Is there a program that will let me cut out what I want then save the actual file rather than creating a new one by saving it as a different file name?
Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot delete the original if that is what you are thinking.
