  1. While using the scheduling aspect of the ATI's MMC v8.5 to schedule future recording. I noticed that when I schedule a recording & select the composite as the source of input to record from, the program select the coaxial rather than composite for the source. Any input to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated.

I have the AIW RADEON 7500 for what its worth.

    Thanks in advance

  2. Have you tried going in and edit the recording event? I had a similar problem with one recorfing I set up. I went in and edited it and selected the composite, and it's worked fine since.

  3. I have tried going in and editing the recording event but I get the same result, it records from the coaxial instead of the source I have chosen (composite).

Yeah, that sucks. Happens here too. Seems to happen in 8.x only, not 7.x. I just use really good RG6 coax cables, and I'm fine, though I know some cards don't use coax real well, including my backup card. I have to use composite, but again, that system runs 7.x anyway, so I'm fine for now when scheduling.

Well you are correct. The only thing is I had to reboot before the scheduling work correctly. That’s why I didn't get good results after editing the schedule on my initial try, after rebooting it worked fine.

    Thanks

If you have to reboot everytime you use scheduler there's something wrong with your installation. I've used mmc 7.1 thru 8.5 and never had this problem.

It has nothing to do with the installation.

It's actually Windows and memory addressing and other behind-the-scenes issues. I just found a workaround (use coax), and kept going. But that's where I need to look when I find time and care more.

Sometimes you just HAVE TO reboot after using a system for a while. We'd need to know more about his session and usage before calling his reboot an error.
