Was at Staples this evening and saw this unit on sale for $125.99. Just wondering if it's a good buy or not. It's Model CDICD00209. Am also aware that Avlogic is selling the NEC ND-1300A dual format unit for $136.00. In terms of relibility, which would be the better unit?

Based on earlier posts on this site Cendyne was forced into liquidation by a court in California. If I remeber the post correctly the result was deep discounts at the retail level in order to pay off creditors and investors.Originally Posted by ganymede

That Cendyne unit is the OEM of the Pioneer 105, It is a very well respected unit, only reason you don't hear about is as much lately is because the 106 is out (+-R/+-RW), this must be a unit that got missed on the shelves...
