  1. hi there,
is there a program out there where i can convert a 5000 frames bitmap sequence into an avi unsing a codec (=not uncompressed)?

i know that it is possible in premiere but my ram ends at 40 seconds so i have to do it in several pieces what i do not like.

  2. Aviedit (a modified version of the one that Microsoft released years ago) does it quite well. I use it often.

bugande, it depends on the filenames, I think. It's quite similar to segmented avi files. If you have a image0001.bmp, image0002.bmp, image0003.bmp and so on till image9999.bmp, TMPG will load all these .bmp files. Just select the first one (image0001.bmp) as video source and save it as avi or mpg.

  10. hi folks,
i found out that i made a mistake in premiere converting the bitmapsequence into an avi. when you import the sequence mind to enable the button "sequence" in the import dialog. then the files are not beeing loaded into ram so there doesent seem to be an limitation by ram.

this is for people having the same problem. thanx for your support and have a nice day.
