  1. hi, i'm making a dvdr compilation with short films from people from all over the world(belgium, equador, finland, usa, uk, japan, italy) can you please help me with these questions:
    what can i use/do the best to make the dvdr playable in all countries. or do i have to make dvdrs for each region? i'm using idvd on a g4 mac os9.
    +
    is it possible to make tracks looping automaticly? can i program this in idvd?
    is idvd a good program anyway? i would like to make an introduction movie, than the title and then the menu, is this possible?

    what dvd+or -r or something else can i buy the best?
    +
    is there an online shop that sells them for a good price (in europe?)?

    please let me know anything you know, it's the first time i make somethng like this so any advice is welcome. thanks, floris

    To answer your first question, iDVD creates DVDs that are region free. You will be able to share them with anyone. If yo uuse a more powerful DVD suthoring program, such as DVD Studio Pro, then you can set what region to compile in, Region Free [also known as Region 0] being one of those options.

    For looping tracks automatically, I do not believe you can do this in iDVD. You would need ot use DVD Studio Pro.

    You want to stick with the DVD-R not the DVD+r Standard for now. This is because playback of DVD+R media on a lot of DVD players in circulation right now is not supported. Although any player introduced in the past few years should play them just fine, it is safer to go with the DVD-R. Besides there is no major difference between the two in functionality and in price for DVD Video Authoring, when using ±R as opposed to ±RW.
