Is there any way to make a vcd with dvd style menu screens? Like with a on screen pointer to make selections with. U know, use the arrow keys and make a selection...blah blah blah. I'm just tired of having to make them where u have to use the number keys to make selections.

    thanx

from what I read, the VCD specification does not support menus like that.

but does that allow you to select with arrow keys? it still looks like it's associating a number with each menu option....

to clarify my original post - you can make nice menus for vcd, no doubt. but I'm pretty sure that moving around with the arrow keys is not supported in the vcd spec - you still have to select your option with the number pad.

  5. I have eliminated having to use the number keys to make a selection with VCDEasy. I create mpg stills of DVD-like menu pages and can navigate using the [<< and >>] keys. It works great!

In this example the selected episode is outlined, but you can use just about any paint program to create cursors, underlines, pointers, etc.

I'm pretty sure VCD does not support using the arrow keys.

still at work right now so i haven't been able to try VP5 out yet. just printed out the guide and skimmed thru it. sounded like you can make chapters that you can navigate with the arrow keys, not the number pad. will let you know once i get home to try it out.
