  1. My sister just got one of these, and I helped her impatient self pick it out. I wanted her to order the Norcent online, but oh well...

Anyway, when you are in a DVD menu, and want to select different menu items, you use the arrow keys on the upper end of the remote. However, as soon as you press an arrow, not only does it move the cursor (and very quickly at that), but it also selects a program without you having pressed the OK button.

I know it's not the remote being "sticky" because in the 1201's setup menu, the remote works fine.

It happened on several DVD's, not just one.

    Anybody else experience this?

Apparently, impatience runs in the family.
Had you read the manual, you'd have discovered you need to press a button on the remote to toggle the functions of the arrow keys, otherwise they act as number keys.

I'm at work and can't look at my remote right now, but I believe it's an Orange colored key near the top, left of the remote.

Press it and a colored rectangle shaped icon appears on the TV screen letting you know you're enabled this function.
