    I have ripped a r1 and am wondering if it automatically makes the disc region free if i burn it with dvd decrypter ?

    No it doesnt do it automatically,
    All you have to do is go to Tools/IFO/Region Patch/ and choose Region free. Then find your IFO files and patch all of them. Then burn them.
    Region free! I have tested this and it works

    Dont you just love DVD Decrypter

    NO quality will be unaffected, the region information of a dvd is stored within the .ifo files and not the .vob files, ifo files are just a list of instructions to tell the dvd player how to play the disk whilst the video itself is stored within the vob files
