  1. Hi there
I want to archive stuff off my hard drive to free up some space. I run Win XP pro, got a Pioneer DVR-105 burner and use Record Now DX.
Naturally, I used -RW type discs(Pioneer) so I could add or append data later. However, no go. Just would not do it. Many emails to Pioneer failed to solve the problem. I can do multisession writes to CD-RW's, no problem at all. Of course there is that limitation of 700mb. So, I want to use DVD media (4.7GB).
I tried Nero Express 5.5 but still no go. It's like both programs do not recognise the settings I have made. In fact, Nero just wiped out a CD-RW when I tried to append data, no warning, no nothing. Not impressed.
    Any one got any ideas?
    Thanks
    LC

  2. Hi there
LargeCoop just writing in to let you know that I've given up on trying to do multi-session writes to DVD.
Just recovered from yet another computer crash caused by Windows (pox-ridden system it is). Anyway, took the time to completely reformat my C: drive and reinstall most software, including the DVD burning software.
I cannot, repeat cannot, still do DVD multu-session burns.
Eight emails to Pioneer and they could not solve the problem. I paid a computer technician to come over to my house and go over the computer with a fine tooth comb, but still, could not get it to work.
So, it will be CD-RW's from on if I need to do multi-session writes.
    So much for technology.
    See ya
    Largecoop.
