You can use virtual dub to frameserve to main concept. vdub has a lot of filters including brightness/contrast filters to make the film brighter. You can also boost washed out colors using vdubs filters and sharpen images.

On frameserving, does anyone know if the Main Concept Encoder will reliably read AVISynth scripts? Reason I ask is that I am very impressed with the quality and bitrate allocation that MC achieves in a single pass, but every time I feed it an .avs, the next time I try to run MC it refuses to run at all! I then uninstall/reinstall and it works OK again (for one encode). The XP error report mentions sonething about quartz.dll. TIA.
