My buddy John and I both have DEs. We decided we'd load up some hot loads and take night pics. I used 180 gr. SJHP with 31 grains of H110. A load you might use to stop a runaway train He set up his Nikon and opened the shutter. He fired the flash to get the foreground detail, and then I fired the gun to get the muzzle flash. The slow-burning powder made the fireball stretch about 6 feet. We didn't expect it to come out as good as it did

What's interesting is the way the bullet forms a cylinder of low-pressure behind it and the flames and gases follow this cylinder.

Geez man. That look insane.
