  1. Info:

DVD Burner : Pioneer DV-R 104 DVD Burner
    Conversion Program: TMPGEnc Plus
    DVD Burning Program: DVDit! PE

Problem: After I convert the video clip to an mpeg2 file in TMPGEnc , I try to burn it onto a DVD but DVDit! gives me the following error:

"Each GOP header must be preceded by a sequence header."

The HELP section of DVDit! says that GOP headers have to do with the conversion program and NOT DVDit! Ok, so I am obviously clueless when it comes to "GOP headers" and such so I wuld very much appreciate it if someone could help me here.

OK, to change the GOP settings in TMPGEnc I go to SETTINGS and click on the GOP structure tab.

    My current settings are this:

    GOP structure: IBBPBBPBBPBBPBBP

Number of I picture in GOP: 1
Number of P picture in GOP: 5
Number of B picture in GOP: 2

Output interval of sequence header: 1 GOP
MAX number of frames in GOP: 18

(there are 3 "checkable" boxes below which say

Output bitstream for edit (Closed GOP) - this is checked
Detect Scene change - this is also checked
Force picture type setting - this is not checked (tho i can check it and go into its own "settings menu")

Finally, below this there are 3 buttons i can press which appear to be pre-sets of some sort. The buttons are :

l picture only (which changes GOP structure to "l" )
l,P picture only(changes GOP structure to "lPPPPPPPPPPPPPP")
Standard(settings go back to the original mentioned above)

So basicly I converted my video clip from an .AVI file to (what I believe is) an MPEG2 file so I could burn it to DVD. I did it with the "Standard" GOP settings but DVDit! gave me that GOP header error and wouldnt let me burn (or should I say "test" because I dont want to waste a DVD-R).

I have a series of short animation episodes that I want to convert and burn to DVD, each episode having its own chapter point etc...

If someone could please help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the lengthy post, but I just wanted to give as much information as possible so I can solve this problem quickly.

    Thank you!

When you used TMPGEnc to convert, did you use a template?
