  1. I've been using Ulead DVDWS for sometime now and have come across a new problem while I was authoring a dvd of home movies. I took some avi's my brother sent me, used tmpg encoder to encode them to mpeg 1's. For some reason, using tmpg to encode mpeg 2's doesn't create a file that ulead dvdws has ever recognized for me. Doesn't matter, what I've always done, is taken the mpeg 1, put in ulead dvdws, and let dvdws encode the file.

HOWEVER, this time after it encodes, after multiplexing, when it is finalizing the vob file, ulead says "MPEG stream is not compatible with this engine". Anyone know what i can do to fix this? I'd hate to scrap the project. If i have to, how do I encode it so Ulead DVDWS recognized it as a compatible stream?

thanks ahead of time guys! If there is anything I've left out, please let me know.

I don't know how to solve to your problem, but if you are going to let DVDWS do the encoding, you are much better off feeding it the original AVIs rather than the TMPGEnc-encoded MPEG-1s. Less encoding means more quality.
