Anycome come across any good books that explain some of the theory behind the design of various different audio/video codecs? Also a discussion of conversion/capturing/editing/etc would be interesting.
If anyone knows of any useful books I'd appreciate it alot if someone could point me to a good one.

as soon as a book is published on this, its just like buying a computer, its out of date. Technologies change so rapidly that a published book would only be able to tell you about what was going on 6 months ago. This site is proably one of the best places to find information
