Hi, I've been creating my own VCDs using EasyCD Creator 4.0 for sometime. Recently, to do a little changes to an existing VCD, I copied out the .dat files and renamed them into .mpg files, did some editing using TMPGEnc to one of the files and tried to create another VCD using these files. The VCD Creator software was terminated halfway through adding the files into the list for burning. On shutdown of my PC, the error message "Free the MPEG Command table fail. The MPEG command table resource will become dangling !!" appeared. The same problem persisted even after a few rounds of re-booting the PC. Anyone out there has encountered such a problem and know the way to solve it? I've tried re-installing EasyCD Creator but to no avail. Thanks.

Don't have a clue to what Easy CD Creator means... but, this does highlight an important point.
DON'T just rename the DAT files on a VCD to .MPG. You should ALWAYS run it through VCDGear (converting DAT-->MPG) first.

EasyCD Creator is the popular CD burning software. I didn't know that I shouldn't just rename the DAT file to MPG file until I ran into the problem. Anyway, I've solved my problem by upgrading from version 4.0 to 5.0. Just wondering if that's the only way to solve it?
