  1. hello,
i remember reading a while ago a guide that was created to just use Ulead DVDWS or MF to just create the menus and then using something else to put the DVD together.
I really like DVDWS, but on this last DVD i'm trying to create it is making a mess of the video output. video stutters at different points while the audio keeps running smooth. very strange never seen this before.
was hoping to find this guide again on how this person made their menu in DVDWS with using a small dummy movie file and then taking the output of that project and using another appliction to create the movie vob files and merge them together.
any help would be appreciated! thanks, marc

One rule of thumb I use to avoid problems such as this is to determine the precise attributes of my source clips.

For example, my Panasonic DVD camcorder records MPEG-2 at the high quality (Xtra) setting and these clips exhibit the following attributes:

    NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
    MPEG files
    24 Bits, 704 x 480, 29.97 fps
    Field Order B
    (DVD-NTSC), 4 : 3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8800 kbps)
    Audio data rate: 256 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

So this is my cue to set my project settings in Ulead DVD Workshop to precisely match these attributes.

The result is a cleanly burned DVD - with perfect playback.

Have you carefully matched your project settings with the attributes of your SOURCE?
