The .nfo file is normally a little description and 'how-to' that you would download with another file. Right click on the .nfo file and open with the Notepad. The you can read whatever is inside. I am not familiar with the .sfv file

  5. .sfv is usually a checksum file

  6. .sfv and .nfo files are used for WAREZ distribution, since this site doesnt support warez its recommended you ask no further.... But .sfv I can understand since it can be used for verification purposes, but NFO is simply warez related.

Besides, if you dont know, you don need to know

  7. well likwid8 the nfo file was not really made for the warez scene but it is mostly used for it..the nfo is created for purpose of when downloading a file..people can know about wat they have downloaded..usually includeds a description,name,etc.....people may ask wat these files are but may not mention wat the nfo file was created for or where they recieved it from

a sfv files is just a a file when used with a program can check and verify that your download isnt corupt or damaged
