  2. Thanks. The corded one is more the kind of thing that I'm looking for anyway just for the sake of batteries.

I'll see if I can find it anywhere in the UK.

Pixel, if you are talking about the open box in my pic, that is a CD binder to hold all the disc's I have for my system, not a scanner. The box is full of clear DVD cases.

  4. Sorry SLICK RICK. I looked more closely and it didn't look like a scanner, plus you also has the multi-function printer sitting right above it

(It is a multi-function printer so I'm not just being stupid again?)

  12. I'll try and get a few pics of mine. The only interesting part is the case, and that doesn't even match up to yours

  14. It will be after 6pm tomorrow (GMT) before I even contemplate taking pictures, so you'll have a wait.

On another note I found the keyboard (corded) its the one at the bottom:

    1. The key is for a 2 way lock, to lock the whole front panel including the top have of the door, or the lock the whole panel but to leave the top have (which covers the optical drives) unlocked.

    2. I am not sure what part you are talking about.

    By the way g_shocker182,

The lock was a must because my 17 month old daughter was always opening my optical drives on my old system.

OK, here is another creation of mine. May I present to you...

    The Bungholio!

It is built from an old Shuttle FV-24 mainboard with a PIII 733 in it. Some memory, a hard drive. Old eMachines 90watt PS. And a Pinnacle Bungee out of its case. The Bungee is powered buy the main PS so no extra power required. The mouse was modified so that the 2 buttons on the top work as expected instead of the normal trigger for left click. No keyboard needed just the mouse and a video display. You can connect to TV with the video out on the mainboard.

Now that is a one of a kind creation. I assume it no longer plays VHS

I am supprised you do not have problems with the PSU though. Without the exterior casing of it, the air flow would not be as effecient.

I wish I'd had more room inside for the fan. Ugly thing sticking out the back. I'll prolly rebuild it soon. Maybe put a Via ITX ME6000 inside, and the DC-DC power supply. That would give me a lot more room, and less heat build up. Might not even need a case fan then.

Yes it has onboard AGP with video and S-video out. Also firewire and USB and audio.

The ME6000 also has onboard AGP with video and S-video out. Plus 6 channel audio out and USB2 (maybe). The M-9000 has USB2, firewire, and all the rest too. I'm using that one right now for surfing. They make a great little internet machine. Streaming video even works well on it. I don't think I would try to encode a DVD on it, except to test speed. But for playing DVD's and such I would go with the newer 1Ghz processor, or wait a couple of months for the new boards to come out. The newer boards have an on BIOS DVD player!

With the Bungee, you only need a low speed machine. If the older 533Mhz processor had firewire on board, I'd get that to save cost and power. Must have firewire!!!!!!

If you have a small server, like FTP or something, one of these boards with video out is great. Get an LCD monitor for the PS1 or Game Cube, and use that for casual monitoring. Use a KVM for when you really need to look at the thing with VGA.

I bought that FV-24 s soon as I could get it. It was a decent board before it got toasted. Smoke from a house fire has rendered it less than reliable. I do need to replace it with something, I want that PVR working. And the Bungee doesn't look to bad for a VHS replacement! The video out on the FV24 is pretty good, and so is the audio. Some of the other models have some problems, and I have never really used the S-video out, though it does work.

CHeck http://www.mini-itx.com and http://www.idot.com Idot has a forum, but it is pretty dead.
