  1. Hi all

I'm quite new to DVD authoring and I'm having a few problems loading Video and audio files into DVD Maestro. I have ripped a dvd and have a VOB file in 2 parts: VTS_1_0.VOB, and VTS_1_1.VOB. Analyzing these 2 vobs I see that the movie has been split into 2 parts. When I demux VTS_1_0.VOB into its video and audio elements these load into DVD Maestro without any problems, however when I demux VTS_1_1.VOB, and try to load the video and audio I get a "Media Detection Error" from DVD Maestro and niether the video or audio will load! I presume that maybe this is because the second VOB file has no header information and Maestro does'nt recognise the file.

How can I load both parts of the VOB file? Do I need to join them together first and then demux the one file and then load it into Maestro? If I do what is the best way to join the files?

    Any help greatly appreciated

You might want to skip VTS_1_0 because it is probably a menu.
    Have you viewed it ?
It also may be at a different aspect ratio which might irritate
Maestro as it probably wants everything to be the same.

    Try VTS_1_1 by itself

  3. FOO is right. The VTS_01_0.VOB is usually the main menu, so you can't join the VOBs. But for future reference, if you want to join VOBs do a search for VobMerge. It's a great little program
