Have the Letterbox setting "unchecked" as a default for the Quick Presets for VCD in both NTSC and PAL. I have no idea why letterbox would be the default.
-
I'm doing something wrong then, I guess. Any attempt to change from one of the 3 defaults offered, has given me back an applescript error about frame rate not being defined.
I guess what I actually wanted to see is an option for straight across .mov to .mpg (or divx, or...whatever), at the same frame rate, size and ratio as the source file.If you've never owned a dachshund, no explanation is possible.

The U-ManGuest
what i'm looking for is a tool that can change the container of the input file
for example:
I have a quicktime file (.mov) (video is : DX50 and audio is: MP3) and i just want to convert this file in .avi(divx) format. But i don't want to reencode the video nor the audio
I try to use the passtrought on video and in audio but the result file don't have any 4CC description ??? is this a bug or a request feature ?!

Its not the sound this time, its the way the video is encoded. It need to be an mpeg4 simple profile. which ffmpeg doesnt seem to give. archos is really touchy about what i can play. I know that 42dvdvx has an output for it. But it is buggy.

Will there ever be support for ogg and .ogm files?

A DCDIVX SETTING, PLEASE
-
Please insert a fade-in / fade-out option on the encoder, its great for people who make vcds or svcds out of mpegs from different sources. Only cleaner seems to have this function but cleaner is a really bad encoder.
Looking forward to the next version!

I would like to see a longer test encode than 5 seconds...

talking 'bout the info option next to open file:
i'd very much like to see the duration of a movie/file to be reported in hours:minuteseconds instead of seconds or frames.
of course it would be even more cool to have ffmpeg adjust the duration of the file, i.e. in the bitrate calculator, on its own by reading the duration of the file specified in the open file field.
that would be cool. thanks, i appreciate your work!303
