  1. I have a DVD and I would like to make a backup as i will be using it a lot, and dont want to damage the original.
I know how to extract the files, BUT I would like to get rid of all the rubbish intro and just have the menu and the main files.

I dont want the warnings and other such rubbish on my backup.

I have looked at using ifoedit but am not having much success, I have identified the parts that need to be removed as in vobs but so far have not figured out what to do to correct the file structure.

Has anyone any pointers or ideas?

    Cheers

  2. IFOEdit can (Re)Create IFOs (press that button) and can correct the IFOs (GetVTS Sector button)
    DVDFab also useful.

But if I get you right DVD Shrink could do what you want

Reauthor mode doesn't keep the menu structure but you can set Start/End frames

Full disc mode keeps the menu but you can set the rubbish to still picture

Or stick with a DVD author program
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.

  3. OK..
The dvd has 5 sets of vobs, 3 of them are rubbish, the first set has two vobs, one is the menu, the other part is the copyright warning, so i want the first part of set 1 and ALL of set 5.

So the dvd would play the menu and allow me to select the options off the menu.

I dont need dvdshrink, dvd2one or pinnacle, they have a specific job and dont do what i want.

    Does that help?

    Cheers

  4. open up Video_ts.ifo in ifoedit

    Press dvd play button
play in ifo edit until main menu starts then press exit button
make a note of what the played titles are; the bottom one should be last one played( usually the main menu) ie...title1 - tilteset1(VTS_o1.xxx)
on top window, select and expand VMGM_MAT
    highlight First Play PGC
in bottom windown scroll down to bottom and right click pre command and choose edit
choose (JumpSS_VTSM) Jump to Titleset Menu and enter in tilte number and titleset number and choose save
close and reload ifoedit and reload video_ts.ifo
    click get vts sectors
play movie and see if it starts with menu

    All gone

  5. Cheers Little John

Took some effort but I got the result in the end, I had a few pre command and one post command, messed around a bit and got it sorted.

    Cheers
