  1. Dear all,
I'm curious is it possible to get access to HD of Thomson7000E using USB. Will it work if I will connect laptop to recorder by USB-laplink??? May be there is another way????

  2. I just opened the box of one of these units but have not tested it.

The Thompson 7000E (also known as the RCA Scenium 7000E here in the states) does have a USB port. My understanding is that the USB port was designed to import jpegs and mp3 files but not video.

The manual states that to use the USB port you must use an approved USB device. It states only two options which are Thompson products. My guess is that any approved USB device should work. But again for only jpeg's and mp3's.

My general experience tells me that "exporting" via the USB port is not possible.

If you have the the products mentioned please test your question and report back.
