Well, I as an non-resident can claim VAT when I go back to India. Are you, the residents in UK, eligible for NO VAT? In US, they can save the Sales Tax (usually from 5% to 7.5%), if buying from the online stores (on most commodities).

In US, they can save the Sales Tax (usually from 5% to 7.5%), if buying from the online stores(on most commodities).

You can only escape this if you don't live in a state where the online company/ their bank is located. BTW, sales tax in Virginia is 4.5% and in another east coast state it's 0 and another one's at 8%.
