No, I don't consider myself a liberal, not a bleeding heart, nor any other type.

I'm for personal freedoms, firearms ownership, reduced government, etc.

You, on the other hand, seem to think that if you earn a million or a hundred million, you are somehow a reasl whiz-bang, and you should not pay anything into the " system ", just take, and I mean take.

If you are, indeed, one of the creme-de-la-creme, I don't blame you. You want to keep it all. much like Leona Helmsley did, when she said, and I quote, " Only the little people pay taxes."

Of course, I don't think you are, I think your dad has mentioned that taxes are killing him, and you have lapped it up with your Pablum.

Isn't it amazing that, with the horrendous tax rates in this country Forbes can still come up with a 400 of the worlds richest people, and most are American, and most have "earned" their own money, much as Michael Eisner, of Disney fame, who sold his options for a 125 million buck profit, because the tax law that " might " come into effect, if the Legislators passed the new tax bill, would have " hurt his company", ie, they would have had to take a hit to earnings.

Of course, his own options would have been worth much less if the law had passed.

Do you really think that, if you made a 100 million bucks in a year, and had to pay 35 million in taxes, your life would be so bad?

I have to pity you. You ( you're probably an ass who is repeating his dad's diatribe, but what the hell ) get more police protection, more snow removal, more everything, and think it's because you ARE special.

Personaly, I never encountered any problems with King John, but whatever. Abusive talk is one thing. Abusive actions is another. Don't forget that the Mods have the power to ban, and if that was used recklessly, could be a problem. But then again, the current Mods and Admin(s) are pretty level headed people, I'm sure that they would choose properly for any new Mod considerations. It isn't like someone just walks in and says "Hey, I'm going to make a bunch of random people moderators today." Well, maybe Baldrick does, but he is allowed.

And if you have a problem with specific person, who might become a mod, speak now or shut the hell up. That's what the PM's are for. Send one to a Mod, and ask for your consideration (for or against) this person. I'm sure that the topic will be discussed in the moderators private area and will be kept confidential!

I don't think there's any need for more moderator's at the minute, they're all doing a great job and incredibly; all appear to be human, with real feelings and hell, even compassion sometimes
If Baldrick decides to appoint anymore then fine, but it appears to me this thread has been created simply because the author has a problem with a specific member, presumably a member who's been around a while.

My dad passed away this year at the age of 82. He was born in 1921 and grew up during the depression when no one had any money. He joined the army at age 19 in 1940 and went to Basic Training with 2 pennies (I kid you not) in his pocket. He's was part of the "Greatest Generation" that fought and won the Second World War. He went in the Air Force in 1947 when it spun off from the Army Air Corps and retired in 1962. Even he didn't even graduate from high school, and neither did my mother, they raised and sent three kids to college who all got advance degrees (PhD and Two Masters).

I am definitely not rich but I am blessed by the fact that my parents worked hard and gave me opportunities that they didn't have. I studied hard and finished college in 1981. I've been in the workforce for the last 22-years working hard and providing for my family.

By the way, my first chance to vote was in the Presidental Election of 1980 and, you guessed it, I voted for Ronald Regean. I think I've been around long enough and paid enough taxes to understand a few things.
