SVCD2DVDMPG won't work with TMPGEnc joined files!

Can someone please post a solution to this? I'm sure there must be one, I just don't know what it is. I used TMPGEnc Plus to join a movie that was made up of 3 parts, so that it was one file. It plays perfect as an .mpg file, and the sound is in sync all the way through the movie, including the joined parts. Only thing is, after joining the parts, I attempted to make the new file DVD compliant with SVCD2DVDMPG so that I could then author it with TMPGEnc DVD author. When I attempted to do such, SVCD2DVDMPG started for a second, then stopped, reporting that the file I was trying to make compliant was not a valid .mpg file. I've searched the board and so far couldn't find any solution to fix this. Does anyone know if there's a way to alter the file so that I can then make it DVD compliant by using SVCD2DVDMPG? Any help would be appreciated.

Try demultiplexing it then remultiplexing it again. File/mpeg tools/simple demultiplex....and simple multiplex.

When multiplexing choose mpeg2 SVCD as the output type.

Why not just convert to mpeg2 in TmpG and then use their authoring software to get the files ready for burning....

If you join mpgs you can get problems. Try de- & multiplexing the mpg again or use another program to join.

But i can see why you want it cause if you join them in an author program you might see the transition.

I tried making both parts compliant FIRST with SVCD2DVDMPG, then joining them with TMPGEnc plus, then authoring the new joined DVD compliant file with TMPGEnc DVD Author. It WORKED, EXCEPT for the fact that when I played the final authored movie, it STILL had a 1 second "blurb" of line noise at the joined part, which I TOUGHT would be gone since I joined the files together before making them compliant. So all in all, it worked, but it DIDN'T work. The good thing about TMPOGEnc DVD author is that (so far) it is the only authoring program that I know of that plays 2 and 3 part movies back to back when they've been authored and burned onto a disk. Like I said though, you get a quick 1 second bit of line noise between each joined part, but it's only 1 second long, and other than that, it plays joined movie parts with complete continuity. Now I want to find an authoring program that will play multipart authored movies seamlessly, without that 1 second of line noise in between movies. That would be my ultimate goal (and I'm sure the goa of many other people on this board).

There is a file size limit (2GB) with svcd2dvdmpg. Don't join your mpegs anyway.
