  1. I have got Nero 6.0.0.9.

Has anyone tried nerovision express2. Im thinking of getting it and wondering if it works to allow you to make dvds from vcd/svcds , and includes all the audio changes and video coding??

Umm, I thought Nero Ultra Edition 6 came with NeroVision Express 2. Why would you need to purchase it?

I've used NeroVision Express 2, and I find it useful and some ways and frustrating in others. Let me just say it isn't a good sign if there are **3** patches in the first two weeks. I'm not impressed!

    * It doesn't crash in any more (the 2.0.1.2 update fixed that), but it doesn't do very well reading MPEG-2s (AVIs were fine).

    * The MPEG-2 encoder isn't very good, IMHO. TMPGenC at 2-pass VBR 5707 fps looked a HECKUVA lot better than NVX at 6300 fps.

    * The encoding controls are pathetic. No way to set encoding type (CBR/VBR), no way to set quality besides three or four presets... very lame.

    * Doesn't measure the time needed for the resulting DVD correctly. It consistenly complained that it couldn't burn my data onto a standard 4.7GB disc even though the same files were burned with no problem by ULead DVD MovieFactory 2.

I know that Nero is highly thought for for its CD-RW burning softwware, but I have yet to be convinced by NVX 2.

Just my experiences - I hope yours are better!
