I've been looking at a couple of scripts for Avisynth that use either Peach Smoother or Spatial Smoother and wanted to get feedback from folks who have used them. I'm using the settings that I've seen recommended with them and they seem to produce similar results but the length of time for encoding are completely different. Encoding a 1 minute clip with Peach took 50 seconds but Spatial Smooth took 2 minutes 48 seconds. Anyone know why the big difference and do you see it when you play your movie on your TV? I don't see a difference on my 15 inch LCD but if it will when I play the XVCD on my TV , I'd like to know. Any input on settings would also be appreciated. The source material are VCR tapes in case it makes a difference. Thanks.
