first of all i'd like to say what a great program this is. so easy.
second of all: i have a question.
is it possible to (completely) clone a DVD-movie of 6.5 Gigabyte on to a 4.4 Gigabyte DVD-R. i tried it, it completed the writing, but it just doesn't play on the DVD-player.

ok, i found the answer
. i guess it ain't possible. but i have another question. if you like rip out almost all of the subtitles and extra's. will it still be usefull to have a menu? won't it be crappy, because all the features are ripped out. and will the ripped out stuff still be displayed in the menu?

Clone DVD compresses the video files to fit on a recordable dvd disc. I have been using it for about a week with dvds of various sizes and it works perfe3ctly all the time., menus and all. I would suggest that you have a problem with either the blanks that you are using or your dvd player. Have you tried to play the burned disc on your computer? If it does play, then it may be your standalone player.Originally Posted by HC_Daedalus

when i make a DVD without menu's but with the subs, (so i get about 4.3 GB) it does work. how do you explain that?
ps: the computer doesn't read the failed one eather.
and how the hell can you backup a 8 GB movie on a 4.4 GB disk and not lose any quality. i'd rather remove the subs i don't even use and the extra's i never even watch and keep the quality.
