I am looking for software which can fast cut end of mpeg-2 VBR file without reencoding.
It sometimes happens when you schedulde recording from DVB your movie is to long (unwanted credits, next show etc.).
I found "DVBControl" can do that but somethings is wrong with it and it crash when the movie is longer then one hour.
Do you know any similar software ?

In TMPGEec it take forever
. Even better/faster is "AVI MPEG ASF WMV Splitter" or WOMBLE but it is not the same like in DVBControl.
DVBControl cut out the end of mpeg files (and delete it) like a flash(!) because it is not necessary to worry about to be in sync A/V. It doesn't touch the beginning and header of file.
When you recording from DVB source the header is mostly inappropriate (it is 30 Mbit bitrate CBR) and you need to use any software to patch it (PVAStrumento->best or DVD Patcher) if you don't patch cutting is slightly difficult because some software try to reencode such file.
I am not telling that is imposible with TMPGEec but it is not so handy like in DVBControl.
