This is why I'm never an early adopter: let the other folks find all of the bugs. But the chance to make DVD's from DV *WITH* chapter breaks was too tempting to pass up.

Here's my problem. I authored a DVD with two titles having three chapter markers each. The second title was only about half of the length of the first, but that's the only big difference. They were both iMovie 3.0.3 Quicktime reference files, as outlined in the documentation. The first title ended up with only one chapter break (the first one). The second title came out perfectly. I just don't get it.

    Any thoughts?

    I am running Devideon 2.5 iMovie 3.0.3

I made my first chaptered DVD, got chapter problems. 3 segments, or titles I guess they are called. 1st has 18 chapter marks, 2nd didnt have any added, 3rd had 3 added.

Result: 1st title, only the first 8 chapters worked. whole thing played ok, but had to fast-scan to move ahead. 2nd fine, 3rd fine, all 3 chapter marks worked. (results same in 4 different machines/players)

I have a 400mhz G3, so I can't use the button to test the project in Devideon (using apple dvd player) prior to burning.

Now, the 1st title was the first time I ever tinkered with chapters... I made a bunch, then re-edited video and did audio additions, so I decided to delete all the existing chapter marks, and start over with iMovie's iDvd-window a clean slate. I deleted all, then made my new ones, then made the DVD. If I recall correctly, there were EIGHT chapter marks I deleted, and now only first EIGHT of 18 work? Coincidence? On title 3, I made the chapter marks on the first try. all work.

Do you have any recollection if when making your first title, you made then deleted/altered a chapter mark? how about the 2nd title... make those in one attempt?

please post results, and good luck.
