Not quite sure what an overprint is. So I have no clue what to suggest.

Apparently an overprint is a disk that had imperfections after printing so has been rejected and re-labelled by a smaller company and marketed at a cheaper price.

That doesn't sound like a bad deal. What kind of price they giving you?
I'd also be interested in this if its a web deal... PM me some info or post some here if it is -
I have used some overprints in the past, and the only downside I could find was due to the extra handling some had fingerprints on them and one or two were lightly scratched.
A quick spin in a half decent CD cleaner and some Isopropanol brought them up quite well.
Some overprints look like an explosion in a paint factory, others look quite professional but you may be able to see the impression of the original text like an embossed effect. You may not like the appearance of the discs, but chances are they will function as expected.
