MPEG2 to SVCD converting problem.

I've followed this guild
https://www.videohelp.com/mpeg2tovcd.htm
and converted some Mpeg2 videos into SVCD spec no problem
BUT
When I use DVD2AVI to save project for Mpeg2 files that use Linear PCM as audio, all it will output is the d2v file, and no mpa file.

It works perfectly fine with Mpeg2 files that use Mpeg Audio.
What should I do?

use dvd2svcd to convert mpeg files,the way i do that is use a leftover ifo file and load that into dvd2svcd and when it says it cant find the vob files browse to the mpeg file and load it in and encode away.
